The heavy vehicles are used as the airport snow-plough carriers. They also pull the airport snow remover. In difficult winter conditions, when it snows continuously, they clean the runway and taxiways almost ceaselessly. It is also owing to their work that the airport is able to admit planes round the clock, even in the most difficult weather. The vehicles have been equipped in such a way as to be able to be leased to construction and transport companies in summer - therefore, they may be used throughout the year. The purchase of the vehicles is yet another step aimed at increasing the quality and safety of services provided at Gdansk-Trójmiasto Airport.
