Since the beginning of this year, Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport has already handled 3,410,145 customers, which is an 6.9% increase in comparison with the same period of the last year.
“The 29th October was the last day of the summer 2016 season. Ending the month with a 12.6% increase in the number of passengers is a truly good outcome. It is mainly a result of the growing number of customers of domestic flights to Warsaw and Cracow as well as to Copenhagen, Denmark. The sunny southern destinations including Barcelona and Alicante were still popular in October. There are only two months left in this year. Will the new winter season bring an increase high enough (in comparison to the season last year) to allow us to set a new record of 4 million passengers this year? - We do not know yet, but we are getting more and more excited counting our passengers each day - said Tomasz Kloskowski, the President of Board of the Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport.
