1 Construction of the second passenger terminalThe performance of this task will increase the passenger capacity of the Gdansk Airport by 100%, i.e. from 2.5 to 5 million passengers (PAX) per year. The investment will contribute to the enhancement of traffic safety and will improve the passenger services. |
2 Apron constructionThe apron will be located between the designed passenger terminal (T2), the designed taxiing way, the existing apron (APRON 2) and the PAŻP Radiolocation Centre with an access road. |
3 New TaxiwayThe performance of this task will increase the operational capacity of the Gdansk Airport from 12 to 30 air operations/hour. |
4 Stormwater drainage systemThe area of the Airport has been divided into 7 drainage areas, including drainage areas No. 1 and 7 covered by green areas, which will not be developed. The drainage system in the drainage areas No. 2 and 5 will be constructed during the 2nd phase. |
5 De-icing padThis investment is related to the improvement of the environmental protection standard at the Gdansk Airport. The pad will comprise an apron of the area of 25,000m2 that will be located east of the existing apron (distance: 794 m) in order to provide an optimum connection of the pad with the designed taxiway |
6 The modernization of the power engineering infrastructureThe preparatory work for the taxiway building have included the removal of collisions with the existing power engineering infrastructure and the modernization of the whole power system that feeds the Gdansk Airport. |
8 Noise monitoring systemAirplane manufacturers are responsible for limiting noise emitted by starting planes. It is not possible to reduce the level of noise at the Airport to the acceptable values applicable for housing developments. |
10 Procurement of the baggage system with EDSAfter clearance at check-in desks, the baggage is transported with a trolley system to the sorting plant, where, after security controls and sorting, it is dispatched on trolleys to the apron and to appropriate planes. |
12 Procurement of the FIDS departure information systemFlight Information System (FIS) is a system based on a central database that will provide the collection and processing of information related to flights. |
