Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport

Accessibility Statement

Port Lotniczy Gdańsk Sp. z o.o. is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

This accessibility statement applies to the website: https://www.airport.gdansk.pl/.

  • Website publication date: 2003
  • Date of the last significant update: 23.01.2026

Digital accessibility status

The website is partially compliant with the Annex to the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the non-compliances or exemptions listed below.

Unavailable content

Non-compliance with the Annex:

  1. For complex graphics and infographics crucial to the portal's operation, alternative text (alt-text) has been added. On some subpages, e.g., individual articles, such descriptions may be missing. Key information, however, is always included in the accessible article content. Work is planned to complete all identified gaps.
  2. Navigating the portal with a screen reader may be difficult in some places due to partially incorrect HTML structure, including incorrect heading hierarchy, missing semantic table markup, and interactive elements without proper roles and accessibility attributes. Work is planned to adjust these elements.
  3. Navigation with a screen reader may be hindered by missing “th” and “tr” attributes in tables. While tables are readable, they may be non-intuitive for screen reader users. Work is planned to add these attributes.
  4. On some subpages, horizontal scrolling is required on smaller screens to fully read the breadcrumb section. Work is planned to modify this section for mobile devices.
  5. Some images in high-contrast mode are not currently displayed in black-and-white. Work is planned to adjust them accordingly.
  6. On some tested subpages, information about links/buttons opening in a new tab or missing aria-label attributes is absent. Work is planned to supplement this information and review additional subpages.
  7. Keyboard navigation and focus visibility work correctly on all tested subpages, except:
    • Map module on the Connections Map page, where focus is only visible for the first location. Keyboard users currently access information for this location only. Work is planned to provide an alternative way to access map information.
    • Input element on the Flight Tickets page connected to a suggestion list is not keyboard-accessible. Work is planned to enable this functionality.
    • Toggle element on the Flight Tickets page cannot be operated via keyboard, preventing switching between one-way and round-trip search. Work is planned to enable this functionality.
  8. Navigating the portal with a screen reader may be hindered by missing “fieldset” attributes, which help identify available actions in select elements. Work is planned to adjust this.
  9. The “frameborder” attribute in the page code is outdated. Screen reader users receive unnecessary information but can continue using the website. Work is planned to remove this attribute.
