Gdańsk Airport – construction of a second passenger terminal with infrastructure, as well as the expansion and modernization of airport and port infrastructure.
The system will enable the transmission of relevant information stored in the central database to travelers through various media, i.e., displays – monitors, information boards, LED tickers, websites, telephone exchanges, and automated voice information systems
FIDS will be designed in accordance with IATA standards. This system will constitute an expansion of the existing FIS system currently operating at Terminal 1 and the City Terminal, creating a single, jointly controlled FIS system.
The system will interface with the SITA system, the A-VDGS (Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System), and the PAVA (Public Address and Voice Alarm) system. An integral part of the FIS system will be the FIDS visual passenger information module, enabling the transmission of flight information and additional updates from handling and security services to travelers via various media. The Visual Passenger Information System will be automatically broadcast to the Airport's website.
The FIS system will feature a module allowing for the performance of analyses and the creation of flight statistics. It is planned that this module will monitor:
- Number of flights per hour;
- Total number of flights;
- Number of flights by a specific airline;
- Number of flights by a specific aircraft type;
- Number of delays, their causes, and duration;
- Number of delays for a specific airline.
The system will enable the presentation of the following information:
- Arrival schedule;
- Departure schedule;
- Current arrivals;
- Current departures;
- Current arrivals and departures displayed alternately on a single monitor;
- Check-in;
- Boarding - gate;
- Baggage;
- List of current gates.
