Last Saturday the first flights on Wizz Air’s new routes from Bournemouth, Goteborg and Coventry arrived in Gdansk.

We welcomed the first passengers with special gifts and a treat of Polish delicacies.

Zdzisław, coming home from Bournemouth for Easter, said, "This is a wonderful surprise – to have an opportunity to taste delicious Polish bread with traditional lard, or Polish herring, right at the airport. Now I really know I am in Poland! Thank you so much!"

The first Wizz Air flight from Bournemouth to Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport carried 156 passengers.

Halina, on her way from Göteborg said, “It is the first time in 30 years that I have travelled from Sweden to Poland. This warm welcome is a great surprise. I have waited for so many years to taste genuine Polish gherkins again; they have the best gherkins here!"

The first Wizz Air flight from Göteborg to Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport carried 131 passengers.
