Drinking water fountain at the Gdańsk Airport

It is an initiative of the Gdańsk Airport and the Gdańsk Water and Sewage Infrastructure (GIWK). - We respond to the needs of our customers and want them to be able to choose whether to buy bottled beverages, including water, or to fill their own bottles. We promote drinking tap water. The process of reducing the use of plastic is also important to us. At the same time, together with and our business partners, we continue to encourage passengers to buy beverages in the shops, restaurants, and cafes located both in the general zone and in the departure zone of the Gdańsk airport - said Tomasz Kloskowski, the President of Gdańsk Airport. The drinking water fountain at the Airport is located in Terminal T2, in the departure zone, behind the security check-in. Since the opening of this water fountain, Gdańsk already has 31 water fountains in public places. - Next year we're planning to build another dozen or so water fountains - says Jacek Skarbek, the President of the Management Board of the GIWK. This is one of the initiatives that significantly reduces the use of plastic bottles in the city.
