Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have opened connections and tours from the UK to Gdansk for its Christmas Market. Today, passengers on the opening flight from Birmingham were given a grand welcome at Lech Walesa Airport. There was also a plane coming in from Manchester.
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have launched the largest ever Christmas market programme, offering more seats and more choice than ever before.
Jet2.com will fly to Gdansk twice a week this season, on Mondays and Fridays, from two UK airports in Birmingham and Manchester. The flights will operate until 23 December 2024.
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have already announced that they will be expanding their programme of flights to Gdansk for the fair. They will also launch services to Newcastle in winter 2025/26.

Customers travelling to Gdansk for the Christmas Market can choose an option including flight only with Jet2.com or a holiday package with Jet2CityBreaks available for £60 per person. Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include round-trip flights with Jet2.com, including 22 kg free checked baggage and 10 kg free cabin baggage, as well as a selection of hotels in good locations.
The Gdansk Christmas Market is considered one of the most beautiful. It has just won the Best Christmas Market in Europe competition organised by the website Europe’s Best Destinations. This year’s fair in Gdansk opened on 22 November and will run until 23 December 2024. The Coal Market Square area transforms into a winter wonderland with fairy-tale illuminations, fairground attractions, handmade gifts and local delicacies, as well as artistic events.
For the 2024/25 winter season, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will operate the largest ever Christmas market programme, offering more tickets than ever before. The size and scale include a total of more than 100,000 seats on offer, an increase of more than 30% compared to the 2023/24 winter season.
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks also offer flights and tours to cities other than Gdansk hosting the fairs this year: Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Krakow, Malmo, Prague and Vienna. Services are operated from eleven UK airports, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and London Stansted.
