Ryanair announced today that passengers will be able to fly to Piza from the Lech Walesa Airport after 31 March 2014. Flights to the city of Piza will be scheduled twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, providing tourists from Gdańsk with an even broader offer of economy flights.

Katarzyna Gaborec of Ryanair has said today:

"It is my pleasure to announce a new connection from Gdańsk to Piza, which will be available for sale from tomorrow on. The new line is the first regular connection of Ryanair to the South of Europe from the airport in Gdańsk and will surely enjoy popularity. Moreover, we will announce a new connection from Gdańsk to Warsaw in September, the first domestic link in Ryanair’s history in Poland. Its launch is planned on 2 April. Owing to the total number of 11 directions available from the Lech Walesa Airport, passengers will be able to use an outstanding offer of cheap flights to six destinations in the United Kingdom (London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford and Manchester), Ireland (Dublin and Cork), Norway (Oslo), Italy (Piza), and Warsaw. The network of Ryanair connections from Gdańsk will be further extended with new destinations in Italy. As this link will be particularly attractive, Ryanair recommends passengers to book their flights early."
