14 million Ryanair passengers in Gdansk

01.12.2023 | 14:30

Fly from Gdansk with Ryanair to almost 50 destinations in Europe!

The 14 millionth passenger turned out to be Mr. Mateusz Szulc, a passenger on a flight from Barcelona. He arrived from a short holiday in a Spanish resort. He lives and works in Bydgoszcz. As he admitted, the flight to Barcelona was his and his girlfriend's first holiday for five years. They will be able to fly on the next one soon. The 14 millionth passenger received tickets from Ryanair for two people to fly from Gdansk in any direction operated by that airline. Gdansk Airport handed over an invitation to the VIP Lounge, which the passenger will be able to use before his journey, as well as the airport gadgets.

This is a special moment for us and we are extremely pleased that already 14 million Ryanair passengers have used Gdansk Airport. Ryanair, as a long-standing partner of Gdansk Airport, is constantly expanding its route network offering travellers more and more interesting and attractive destinations. We encourage to continue your travels with Ryanair in Gdansk". - said Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska, Country Manager for Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic Countries at Ryanair.

"Our cooperation with Ryanair Airline is already very mature, as it has lasted continuously for more than 18 years. We started with flights to Frankfurt, and today the Irish carrier provides almost 40 destinations in their network of connections from Gdansk. This is a great travel offer for our passengers, both from the Tri-City and the Pomeranian region, as well as from Europe. Ryanair is a very important partner for Gdansk Airport, and we are looking forward to more and more fruitful cooperation" - said Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport.

Ryanair Airline launched from Gdansk in 2005, initially it served only two connections, to Frankfurt and London Stansted. There are currently 29 destinations from Gdansk in the winter network, operated by Ryanair, but it is already known that at least nine more will return in the spring and summer.
