On July 9th 2002 another remarkable concert, entitled 'A Three Cities' Concerto', was held in the passenger terminal of Gdañsk-Trójmiasto Airport.
Mr. Bernard Ringeissen, a French pianist of world renown and the winner of the fourth prize in the Chopin Competition, performed on the concert grand accompanied by the Toruñ Chamber Orchestra conducted by Zygmunt Rychert.
Together, the musicians performed the 3rd Symphony in A-minor op. 56 - the so-called 'Scottish Symphony' by Felix Mendelssohn, and Mr. Ringeissen played the Concerto in B-major op. 83 by Johannes Brahms as his showpiece. During the concert, the Amber Mike (Bursztynowy Mikrofon) awards of Radio Gdañsk, which is celebrating its 57th anniversary, were presented. The concert was jointly organised by Gdañsk-Trójmiasto Airport, FERMATA Agencja Artystyczno-Promocyjna, Radio Gdañsk and the Tri-city communes of Gdañsk, Gdynia and Sopot.
