BBK S.A. - the owner of home&you brand at Airport City Gdansk

Gdansk Airport has signed a contract with BBK S.A., the owner of the home&you and Essex brands, to lease over 3,600 square metres of space, in the Alpha office building belonging to the Airport City Gdansk project. According to the schedule of finishing works for the new office spaces, BBK S.A. are going to move into their new premises in May 2024. The contract is for a period of seven years.

"It always pleases me and makes me proud to see how Pomeranian companies are succeeding on the national and international stage. The fact that a company that owns such a popular brand as home&you has decided to locate their seat in our Airport City Gdansk gives me even more reason for satisfaction that such a star is joining our Airport team," said Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport.

After Solidigm, owned by SK Hynix, a global electronics giant, and MiniCity car rental office, BBK S.A. is another tenant joining the Airport City Gdansk office project. Signing the agreement with BBK S.A. means that the ACG Alpha building has been commercialized to almost 80 per cent.

"Signing a lease contract for more than 3,000 square metres is a rarity, in today's difficult realities of the office market not only in the Tricity, but also in other Polish cities. I am glad that after tough but also highly cooperative negotiations, in which we were supported by JLL, we have managed to conclude an agreement thanks to which BBK SA has now become the largest tenant in the ACG Alpha building," said Michal Dargacz, Director for Airport City Gdansk.

"Merging the teams, currently working in two different locations in Gdansk, is a very important step in the development of our company. Three floors will house, among other facilities, functional work and meeting spaces tailored to our needs as well as a modern showroom. It is also important to note that the project includes many environmentally friendly solutions. Starting with facilities for cyclists (racks, changing rooms, showers), up to the green leisure space around the building and the green roof terrace, which all our employees will be able to use. The location of the building in close proximity to the Airport, right next to a stop of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway and in close proximity to a bus terminal, was an additional advantage for us," said Magdalena Barańska, Vice-President of BBK S.A. Board of Directors.

BBK is the owner of the home&you and Essex brands. It is a Polish company from Tricity, which for over 30 years has been assisting customers on their way to create the interior of their dreams. The well-developed network of home&you shops throughout Poland, as well as the vast offer of the online shop (home-you.com), makes it possible to provide customers with a wide range of interior products, diversifying them in terms of, for example, categories, prices and styles.  

The Alpha office building comprises six floors and 8,500 square metres of leasable space. The two underground floors offer a total of 197 parking spaces. Alpha is the first of seven planned office and commercial buildings within Airport City Gdansk, a modern airport district with 100,000 square metres of leasable space. ACG's great advantage is its location in the vicinity of the Airport, the Tricity Ring Road and A1 motorway junction, with an excellent access to the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway, public transport and a network of cycle routes.

The commercialization of the Alpha office building is being handled by JLL, a global business real estate consulting firm with offices in 80 countries. Their agents point out the exceptionally high quality of the Alpha building and its parameters, which predestine it especially for customers with high technical requirements, such as those from the IT industry.
