Flights to Sweden are now possible

You can now fly from Poland to Sweden. Polish government has lifted the ban on air travel on these routes. From Gdansk you can fly, including but not limited to, to Malmo, Goteborg and Stockholm.

Due to the epidemic of coronavirus, the ban on flights to Sweden lasted almost two months longer than for example to Norway, Germany and Finland. According to the new regulation of the Council of Ministers, flights to Sweden are possible commencing from 12th August.

As the regulation sets out, apart from Sweden, flights from Poland to Portugal and Egypt have now been allowed. 

The previous regulations allowed flights to Poland from the European Union countries, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Lichtenstein, as well as Algeria, Georgia, Japan, Canada, Morocco, Thailand, New Zealand, Albania, Belarus, Korea, Rwanda, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay and Australia.

The regulation of the Council of Ministers, which was issued on 11th August, lists 44 countries to which Poland is still unable to fly. The current ban is to be observed until 25th August. The list includes but is not limited to: Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luxemburg, but also the United States, Russia and Israel.
