Over 154 thousand people chose Gdansk Airport in July. This is a very good result after a three-month standstill period for domestic and international scheduled flights due to the coronavirus epidemic.
We recorded the most passengers on Sunday 26th July and 7 477 people travelled to/from Gdansk on that day. The most of the take-offs and landings, 111 in total, were on Tuesday 21st July. The destinations that travellers were choosing most often were London, Oslo and Warsaw.
“We are pleased to see the growth of the number of passengers at Gdansk Airport. The figures make it very clear, but it is also visible in reality. More and more people appear every day at the airport: in terminals, shops and restaurants. The travellers are not afraid to fly, and it is encouraging for us that there will be more of them every week. We are very grateful that they choose air travel and Gdansk Airport. We strive to provide them with comfortable and safe service. We also thank you for complying with the rules and health recommendations required for the epidemic” - said Tomasz Kloskowski, the President of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport.
The flights from Gdansk to vacation destinations were very popular In July.
