We are pleased to inform you that a connection from Gdańsk to Paris-Beauvais operated by Wizz Air will be launched this December yet.
‘A connection to Paris is perceived by our passengers as one of the most attractive and anticipated routes. In a survey on preferred destinations, it was Paris that the respondents mentioned among the most desirable connections that they would want to appear in the network of direct routes from Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport’, says Tomasz Kloskowski, Vice-President of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport.
Starting from 18 December 2009, flights to Paris - Beauvais will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays (departures from GDN at 6.10 - 8.20, arrivals from BVA at 13.40 - 15.40).
‘The Monday and Friday connections give travelers the opportunity of staying in Paris for a weekend, if not longer – I’m convinced that this further enhances the attractiveness of this connection’, remarks President Kloskowski. The new connection offered by Wizz Air, along with the other, previously announced connections, handled by both Wizz Air and Ryanair, will surely contribute to an even greater increase in the dynamics of the number of passengers served.
The sustained growth in the number of passengers served in September reflects the good standing of Gdańsk airport. 189,110 passengers cleared last month represents an increase of 3.7% over last September. Since the beginning of the year, Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport has handled 1,454,592 passengers in all.
Apart from the Paris-Beauvais connection announced today, flights to Dusseldorf – Weeze, Edinburgh, Eindhoven, Bergen and Milan – Bergamo will in the last two months of the year be added to the network of connections from Gdańsk.
