During the night from 8th to 9th of June, a 5 km run on Lech Wałęsa Airport’s ramp will take place. There will be 4 000 competitors taking part in the race. There will also be many attractions for all the participants.
The first Skyawayrun run event in Gdansk, took place on the 10th June 2018 and won great popularity. Almost 1 700 competitors took part in the race. We increased the number of places for the run to 4 000 in this year competition and they were all booked out very quickly. The Skyawayrun will take place on the night of 8th and 9th June. We will wait for all the runners at the airport from 10pm. We will provide a lot of artistic and sport attractions for the participants and their families before the race. The 5 km run will start at around 1:00 pm, which is after the last air operation at the airport. Competitor’s struggling will take place in unusual scenery, under the cover of the night, but also in the surroundings of the airport equipment and airplanes of many airlines, which are flying to Gdansk on daily basis. The organizer of the Skyawayrun 2019 is Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdansk and Monster Event company. With thanks to our sponsors and partners we have plenty of awards for the runners Lech Wałęsa Airport will also grant their awards to the competitors of the Skyawayrun 2019. We will honour the person with the most impressing and spectacular headdress and also the runner with a spectacular face painting. We count on your creativeness.
